Scientific Applications Analyst (Job #:0801678)

The Scientific Applications Analyst will consult with researchers of high performance computing in the steps necessary to complete their ‎research including: interacting with operating ‎systems, operational policies and procedures; the evaluation ‎and implementation of new ‎technologies and ‎algorithms; and the development of materials for documentation and training. Utilize creativity and innovation to solve conceptual ‎computing problems raised by cutting edge research. Will diagnose a wide range of application and data problems; ‎design, code, test, debug, install, document and maintain complex programs. The Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC) is a research computing ‎center providing advanced ‎computing resources and ‎support services including access to ‎leading-edge computational and data storage ‎systems, as well as expertise in a ‎broad range of ‎high performance computing activities, to support the ‎‎computationally-intensive research of both Purdue faculty and staff and also ‎research ‎partners nationwide.
