REvolution Computing joins Microsoft for demo of enhanced R at SC08

REvolution Computing, the leading commercial provider of software and support for the open source statistical computing language, "R," will provide demonstrations of its flagship product RPro in conjunction with Microsoft at the SC08 conference in Austin, Texas, November 17-20. The demonstrations will show how commercialized and supported RPro uses Intel based multi-core workstations and servers to easily deploy on modern Windows platforms. A selection of common examples from biomedical research will be presented to illustrate how RPro scales analyses and optimizes grids and clusters without additional programming. Demonstrations of RPro will be offered each day in the Microsoft exhibition booth. Please check for specific times. In addition, REvolution Computing will offer two formal presentations. A presentation discussing how REvolution deploys RPro on Windows platforms will take place at the Microsoft Theater on Thursday, November 20 at 10:15 AM. A second presentation focusing on how REvolution takes advantage of Intel multiprocessors will take place at the Intel Theater on Thursday November 20 at 11 AM.
