HPTi Wins Best Executive and Best Support Staffer Awards

High Performance Technologies, Inc (HPTi) has won Best Executive and Best Support Staffer for the prestigious American Business Awards, also known as the “Stevies.” HPTi was also named finalists for Best Overall Company, Best Finance Executive, and Best Human Resources Executive. Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” (New York Post , April 27, 2005), the American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Monday, June 11. Hosted by Larry Wilmore of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” the ceremonies were videocast live on the Internet and broadcast nationwide on radio. The award judges received over 2,000 entries in more than 40 categories. HPTi was selected as a finalist in all 5 of the areas where it was nominated. Despite competition from across the country, Tim Keenan, HPTi’s president and co-founder, was named the Best Executive in Computer Hardware or Services. HPTi’s Jake Weyant also won in his category for Best Support Staffer. HPTi was one of only two companies to boast individual award winners in more than one category. “We are very proud of our people,” said Tim Keenan. “We are dedicated to building leaders within our industry, and it is always exciting to get outside confirmation that we are succeeding in that goal.” HPTi was the only DC-area company of its size to be named a finalist in the Best Overall Company category.
