HiPC is one of leading IT conferences in Asia and has a history of attracting participation from reputed researchers from academia and industry from all over the world. Previous events include HiPC 2004 in Bangalore and HiPC 2004 in Hyderabad, both of which attracted approximately 300 participants. HiPC 2005, the release says will emphasise the design and analysis of high performance parallel, distributed and networked systems and their scientific, engineering, and commercial applications. In addition to technical sessions consisting of contributed papers, the conference will include invited presentations from leading researchers, workshops, tutorials, and a poster-session. HiPC 2005 will also include an industry session and exhibition featuring presentations from leading IT companies and R&D laboratories. The conference general co-chair is Dr Manish Parashar and it is locally supported by GICC, Goa University and NIO.
