UGS' JT2Go Solution Now Available for No-charge Download

Instant compatibility with manufacturers worldwide JT2Go provides a no-cost method of establishing instant compatibility with the huge install base of existing 3D JT data created by over 600,000 users worldwide. The JT format is the predominant 3D data standard for enabling product visualization and information sharing between PLM software applications. Lightweight JT files can be generated by all major computer-aided design (CAD) authoring systems -- including UGS' NX and Solid Edge -- providing 3D data in a CAD-neutral format for high-performance viewing. The robust functionality and lightweight qualities of JT technology make it possible to view and share product data and interactive images worldwide, in real-time and throughout all phases of the product lifecycle. JT2Go can be used to connect OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), suppliers, business partners and customers to the specific 3D product data necessary to enable collaborative participation in a variety of critical lifecycle processes such as design reviews, manufacturing planning or requests for quotes. JT2Go and the 3D JT format are examples of UGS' open business philosophy. The JT format is supported by JT Open, an initiative organized by UGS at the request of its customers in order to establish the widely used 3D JT data format as the common standard for sharing product and manufacturing information in the PLM industry. Membership in JT Open is available to any and all end user corporations, independent software vendors (ISVs), academic institutions and non-profit industry organizations. In addition, JT2Go includes JT plug-ins for Microsoft Office 2003, enabling a 3D JT file to be easily referenced for viewing within Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Smart Documents. As a result, robust and reliable 3D collaboration functionality is now available to an extended audience using common desktop applications.
