Vital Images to Exhibit at European Conference of Radiology
"We are proud that ECR asked us to participate in The Matrix this year," said Jay Miller, Vital Images' president and CEO. "Vital Images delivers the most advanced 3D visualization and analysis tools, while our R&D team looks for economical capabilities to support them, creating a better value for our customers. At ECR, our engineers will demonstrate how programmable graphics cards, which are commonly used in consumer games, enable new Vitrea rendering methods, resulting in alternative viewing models and more accurate images. We and our customers benefit from the exponential performance growth of graphics cards over the last several years, and the competitive price of a consumer product." The ECR, held annually in Vienna, Austria, is the second-largest radiology conference in the world. Invitations to exhibit at The Matrix are sent only to researchers with outstanding reputations in radiology. The Matrix focuses on computer vision and computer assisted radiology applications, including image analysis, display and manipulation, PACS, virtual endoscopy, and computer-aided diagnosis. Its purpose is two-fold: to show developments in this field to the radiological community and to establish contacts and receive feedback for researchers.
