Pharsight Corporation Appoints Dr. James Bosley Senior Director

Dr. Bosley brings extensive modeling and simulation, information technology and marketing experience to Pharsight with a strong background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Previously, he has held staff engineering, project sales, business development, project management, consulting and engineering management positions. In his position at Pharsight, Dr. Bosley will be responsible for setting the priorities to extend Pharsight's current software product portfolio and will work with a cross-functional team to develop the company's vision for future offerings within the software products business unit. "Dr. Bosley has an excellent track record of leveraging technology to advance modeling and simulation that delivers high value solutions to customers," said Mark Robillard. Prior to joining Pharsight, Dr. Bosley served as consulting director for Rosa Pharmaceuticals where he was involved in scoping and selling consulting services in pharmaceutical strategy, portfolio management and clinical trial design. Before Rosa, Dr. Bosley spent over three years as a systems engineer at Entelos where he developed pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic models in several disease areas including diabetes, obesity, and asthma. Prior to Entelos, Dr. Bosley was a research associate for DuPont in Central Research and Development, where he was responsible for the development of mathematical models for industrial microbial processes and related control systems, and managed a database of biological information that was shared by several companies. Dr. Bosley also spent more than eight years at Fluor-Daniel Corporation, where he helped lead the company's entrance into the biotechnology market. Dr. Bosley received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Texas at Austin, respectively. He also earned an M.S. in electrical engineering from University of California-Irvine.
