Concurrent and PowerSource Expand Partnership

Concurrent Computer Corporation, a leading provider of integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that its iHawk high-performance multiprocessor systems powered by the RedHawk Linux operating system will be the platform of choice for all real-time application software developed by Australia-based PowerSource Software Pty Ltd. This announcement comes in conjunction with PowerSource joining the Concurrent Channel Partner Program. By becoming a Concurrent Channel Partner, PowerSource will be able to offer its customers a fully integrated solution for high-speed transaction processing, including applications that serve wagering and gaming (systems for on and off-track betting and lotteries); community gaming (trade promotion lotteries and competitions entered via mobile cellular devices); Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), and video-on-demand (VOD) markets. The Channel Partner agreement leverages the strengths of both company's products. For almost 30 years, PowerSource has been using Concurrent systems as an integral part in the development of its innovative software solutions. All of PowerSource's products are written in Java, and are now integrated with Concurrent's proven COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) platform, for premier fault-tolerant, open architecture systems that serve a diversity of real-time transaction processing needs. Concurrent's iHawk powered by RedHawk supports PowerSource's three principle products: Reactix Wagering Platform for conventional betting; Reactix Campaign Engine for community gaming and Cinematheque for residential and hospitality IPTV and VOD.
