Dr. Iwao Toda to Join Liquid Computing

Liquid Computing Corp., a developer of a new class of scalable server for high performance computing, today announced the appointment of Dr. Iwao Toda as Asia-Pacific Strategic Advisor. With over three decades of product development and executive management experience, Dr. Toda will help Liquid Computing expand its global presence. As an award-winning engineer and accomplished author, Dr. Toda has distinguished himself within the computing and telecommunications sectors. He has spent twelve years working with Fujitsu, most recently as a Fellow in the laboratories. Prior to joining Fujitsu, he was an executive vice-president of NTT, Research and Development. Dr. Toda led the development of the DIPS project, a large-scale online computer series that ushered in a new class of telecommunications service. "Japan is the world's second largest market for high performance computing. We are very please to have Dr. Toda join the advisory team to help Liquid Computing build its business in this market, followed by other areas in Asia-Pacific," said Dr. Adam Chowaniec, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Liquid Computing. "Dr. Toda's depth of experience in technical computing and market knowledge will complement the company's future growth objectives. Over the past three years Liquid Computing has established its differentiating product vision for LiquidIQ. As the fully subscribed beta program commences this fiscal quarter, global expansion will be important leading into the product's general availability later this year. Dr. Toda holds a PHD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo. He has been a visiting professor at Berkley and several prominent Japanese Universities and continues to speak at industry events and conferences around the world.
