Dot Hill will exhibit its SANnet II Linux-optimized storage solutions at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo, Aug. 3-5 in San Francisco. Dot Hill will display its latest additions to the SANnet II family, SANnet II SATA and SANnet II Blade Ultra 320. According to a forecast analysis by industry analyst firm Gartner, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for Linux server shipments from 2003 through 2008 will reach 18.3 percent. In addition, Gartner estimates that Linux server revenue will grow to more than $6.3 billion by 2008. "We feel that the Linux market has really matured over the last several years and is a serious contender in the enterprise space," said Omar Barraza, Dot Hill's director of marketing. "We continue to fully support the Linux operating system as we have done for years. We work closely with Linux software providers such as Red Hat, MontaVista and Novell to ensure compatibility and provide a full feature set to Linux users." Dot Hill's storage software products, SANscape and SANpath(R), are optimized to provide full-featured support for the Linux operating system.
