CTWatch blog launched

The Cyberinfrastructure Partnership (CIP), a joint, NSF-funded effort of the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), today launched a community forum for breaking news, provocative ideas, and interactive discussion on the latest developments in shared cyberinfrastructure. The CTWatch blog ctwatch.org/blog/ is a companion to the online publication CTWatch Quarterly ctwatch.org/quarterly, which published its inaugural issue on February 18. The blog provides the community of cyberinfrastructure developers and users with day-to-day intelligence, presenting information culled from news groups, news wires, the science and technology press, published research, and government documents. The CTWatch blog aims to be a source of news and a stimulus to discussion. Members of the national cyberinfrastructure community are invited to participate. A name and an email address are all that's required to join the discussion at http://www.ctwatch.org/blog/. The Cyberinfrastructure Partnership is part of a coordinated endeavor by SDSC and NCSA to help define, create, and deploy a national cyberinfrastructure for science and engineering research. Both the CTWatch blog and CTWatch Quarterly are being produced in cooperation with the Innovative Computing Laboratory at the University of Tennessee.
