AVAKI Submits Secure Grid Naming Specification to the Global Grid Forum

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- AVAKI Corporation, a pioneer in global grid software solutions, announced today it has submitted its Secure Grid Naming Protocol (SGNP) specification for discussion and comment at this week's Global Grid Forum in Toronto. A result of eight years of academic and commercial grid computing experience and supported by leaders in the industry, SGNP is a proposed standard for the scalable, secure and migration-transparent naming of global grid resources and services. Adoption of a naming protocol, in concert with other important standards, will accelerate the development and proliferation of grid computing in commercial environments and augment existing Web services standards.
