Saab Aerospace Selects SGI Onyx 3000 Series Visualization System
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- SGI (NYSE: SGI) today announced that Saab Aerospace has selected an SGI® Onyx® 3000 series high-performance graphics system to serve as the image generator for its Presentation and Maneuvering Simulator (PMSIM), a development simulator for human-machine interface in Linkoping, Sweden. The upgrade, worth $2.3 million, will improve the flight experience of pilots during testing and development of the Swedish Gripen fighter aircraft.
