Engineered Intelligence Enhances CxC
Engineered Intelligence (EI), the leader in Enterprise Parallel Computing, today released CxC ("C by C") version 2.2, which includes an interface compiler for C that enables users to automatically integrate C programs into the parallel framework in CxC. The company also announced professional service offerings to help customers speed up their applications. CxC is the parallel language enabling technical professionals to design and run parallel applications on their desktops and execute them in high-performance computing environments, utilizing both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. CxC makes parallel computing available to scientists, researchers, and engineers who only know their discipline and potentially C, C++ or Fortran languages by enabling them to develop programs on a Window or Linux-based machine. They can create, prototype and test the code, even on a laptop PC. Once they get their code running, they can move the same code to symmetric multi-processor (SMP) machines or to compute clusters running UNIX, Linux, or Windows and take advantage of parallel computing performance for fast results. CxC was awarded the Best Developer Tool award at ClusterWorld 2004. EI announced professional services to assist customers in applications analysis, bottleneck resolution, and migration and parallelization, enabling them to convert serial programs to parallel. "Helping customers analyze and speed up their applications provides higher performance and scalability, often without needing to buy additional hardware," said Dr. Chun Xia, Engineered Intelligence's Vice-President of Solutions and Services. "We provide solutions that enable all scientists and engineers to use cluster computing and get better results, solve larger problems and realize fast return on their investment. The CxC Integration compiler is another example of our ability to help developers create scalable applications." CxC Version 2.2 is now available, starting at $1995 for application development licenses, and can be purchased by contacting EI directly at sales@engineeredintelligence.com, through the website at www.engineeredintelligence.com or by calling 650-587-7100.
