Alliance Semiconductor Corporation, a worldwide provider of analog and mixed signal products, high-performance memory products and connectivity and networking solutions for the communications, computing, embedded, industrial and consumer markets, today announced that it has successfully attained ISO 9001:2000 certification. This certification recognizes that the company continues to operate to a world class Quality Management System (QMS). In order to achieve this certification, Alliance’s QMS underwent and passed a rigorous and comprehensive audit by SGS Systems and Services, which concluded that Alliance was in conformance to the standard in all criteria, and had, or was in the process of implementing industry leading “best practices” in all areas of the company. In order to attain this certification level Alliance had to demonstrate documented and operating processes that consistently provide products that meet customers and applicable regulatory requirements. Additionally, Alliance had to demonstrate its ability to enhance customers’ satisfaction through the effective application of its QMS system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements. “Our certification to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard is part of our continuing commitment to achieving and sustaining quality in all aspects of our business operations,” said N.D. Reddy, president and CEO of Alliance Semiconductor. “Our employees constantly contribute to the establishment and maintenance of Alliance’s quality system, thereby helping to ensure that customer requirements are met by all the operating areas of our organization.” This new ISO 9001:2000 standard that Alliance attained consolidates the three previous standards, ISO 9001:1994, ISO 9002:1994 and ISO 9003:1994, and is a much more stringent, all-encompassing quality management system. The accrediting body for this certification is the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
