Engineered Intelligence’s CxC and MPI-XF Solutions Now Available with HP
Engineered Intelligence (EI), the technology leader in parallel programming software, announced that HP is reselling their parallel programming solutions CxC (“C by C”) and MPI-XF for use with HP’s High Performance Computing LC Series turnkey clusters based on industry-leading HP ProLiant servers with Intel® Xeon® and AMD OpteronTM processors. Customers can now order a complete parallel application development and execution system coupled with HP’s bundled, certified high performance systems. “The combination of HP high performance clusters with EI’s software gives customers an easy, low-cost way to move to parallel computing,” said Matt Oberdorfer, President and CEO of EI. “For a minimal investment, companies can realize the benefits of faster calculations, higher throughput and increased productivity for their R&D staff. With EI’s parallel programming tools they can convert existing serial applications to parallel, or create new codes, and take advantage of the excellent price/performance of HP clusters.” “The availability of EI’s software through HP allows us to offer more choices in our solution stack, with an even broader portfolio of parallel programming tools to meet a variety of needs,” said Winston Prather, vice president and general manager, HP high performance technical computing division. “More users can now take advantage of parallel computing with CxC and MPI-XF on the LC Series, providing a turnkey solution ready for use, backed by HP’s industry-leading support. LC Series clusters are an ideal choice for customers who want an affordable system that can scale as their needs grow.” The basic CxC on LC Clusters Enablement Pack includes a CxC parallel application development license and run-time environment license to execute parallel programs on two processors. Additional licenses can be added to run applications on more processors, and to enable more users to create programs. EI’s MPI-XF combines the utility of Message Passing Interface with powerful communication technology derived from EI’s patented Connected Memory Architecture (CMA) and EXtremely Fast Compression (XFC). Developers who have invested time and effort in MPI programming can leverage their work with EI’s solution to gain extreme performance for their applications. Pricing and Availability EI’s software is immediately available through HP, at prices starting at $155 for basic CxC parallel programming capability and run-time license for 2 processors.
