Engineered Intelligence Completes Series A Venture Financing
Engineered Intelligence, Inc., the leading provider of parallel programming and computing software for high performance systems and clusters, today announced that US Venture Partners (USVP) has invested an undisclosed amount in Series A funding for the company. EI will use the new financing to open a new office in the Bay Area, expand its technical and sales staff, enhance existing solutions including CxC (“C by C”) and MPI-XF programming software, and introduce new products for parallel computing. David Liddle, Ph.D. and general partner at USVP will join EI's Board of Directors. "EI continues to lead in the development of parallel computing tools to improve productivity for the scientific community using high performance systems and clusters," said Liddle. "USVP believes EI's virtualization approach and innovative solutions are creating a shift in the market for High Performance Computing, bringing the power of HPC to a larger market, particularly in the highest growth area of parallel processing with clusters." "With CxC and MPI-XF, EI is positioned as the leader in software technology for parallel computing, enabling every scientist and engineer to use high performance systems, resulting in increased productivity and better results faster for the most demanding problems," said Matt Oberdorfer, EI's president and CEO. "This strong partnership with USVP allows us to invent and create products for the future world of parallel computing that is beyond just scientific use, in business and personal applications, devices and systems.”
