MTI to Make Brocade SilkWorm 12000 Available to Customers

(Brocade(R)) (NASDAQ: BRCD) , a leading provider of infrastructure for Storage Area Networks (SANs), announced today that MTI will offer its customers the newly available SilkWorm(R) 12000 2 Gigabit Per Second (Gbit/sec) Core Fabric Switch as a building block for enterprise SANs. MTI plans to make the product available with its entire Vivant(TM) family of SAN and Network Attached Storage (NAS) storage solutions beginning in the second quarter of this year. Vivant storage systems provide high availability and flexible, scalable solutions to meet today's mission critical data consolidation requirements and investment protection for future growth. Offering the SilkWorm 12000 and its management software will expand the range and scope of MTI's Connection Services, which provides data access between open systems host servers and the fault tolerant Vivant storage servers.
