Numerical Algorithms Group Appoints New Head of N. American Operations

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- The worldwide Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) names Robert W. Meyer President of NAG's North American operations, NAG Inc., effective February 6, 2002. Meyer's promotion denotes NAG's recent success and continued commitment to forging partnerships with leading commercial software firms seeking to use NAG components in business analytics and related areas, a course championed by Meyer during his recent tenure as NAG Inc.'s Executive Vice President. As President, Meyer will oversee all of NAG's operations in North America. This includes the current launch of NAG's new Data Mining Components, statistical and artificial intelligence software components specifically developed for the rigors of mining massive datasets. Meyer will also manage the growing roster of NAG strategic partnerships in North America, including PeopleSoft, IBM, Manugistics, Intel, OriginLab, among many others. Meyer holds a D.Sc. degree from Washington University (St. Louis) and has a background in applied math, computer science and transportation engineering. Meyer brings more than 20 years of experience in management, marketing, sales, and manufacturing for a diverse roster of leading software, energy, and industrial firms.
