AMAX Unveils Next Generation of Visual Computing Platforms at Siggraph 2010

AMAX has launched a new generation of visual computing platforms at Siggraph 2010. Siggraph 2010 is the world's premier marketplace for visual computing, computer graphics and interactive techniques. It will be held from July 27 - 29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

AMAX's new visual computing platforms are based on the latest NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics solutions, fully utilizing the new generation of CUDA GPU computing architecture, code name "Fermi", delivering 5x design complexity and 8x simulation performance than previous generation of professional graphics solutions. They also support 4D visualization and real-time computation for medical applications, and 3D Vision Pro.

Some of the new and exciting products we will introduce at Siggraph 2010 include:

·         Rack-optimized 1U graphics rendering nodes, delivering 896 graphics rendering cores and 192GB host system memory in a single chassis, with three 3.5" or six 2.5" hard disk drives. These nodes are integrated with 93% Gold level energy efficient power supply, and support IPMI 2.0 with virtual media over LAN and KVM-over-LAN.

·         Ultra Quiet Graphics Workstation, with 1,792 graphics rendering cores, delivering unmatched graphics compute per cubic centimeter and providing the highest visual compute density, enabling breakthrough levels of capability and productivity.

·         Visualization cluster, delivering up to 37,632 graphics rendering cores, 8060 GB host system memory, 336 GB dedicated GPU memory, 252 TB hot-swap shared storage, and integrated QDR InfiniBand fabric. These solutions dramatically increase design productivity by reducing project render times, and enable complex 3D design projects (animation frames or entire sequences) to be rendered in hours, not days.
