Load DynamiX Closes 2013 with Record Revenue

Load DynamiX has closed 2013 with record revenues that exceeded expectations among a myriad of positive strategic changes at the company. Load DynamiX is fast becoming the defacto standard supplier of storage infrastructure performance validation solutions to both technology vendors and enterprise IT organizations.

In 2013, the Load DynamiX cemented its leadership in providing performance validation solutions to all leading storage and network technology vendors.  The company dramatically expanded its customer base during the year with substantial new sales to privately-held storage market innovators including flash, cloud and hybrid storage vendors. Many technology vendors are now proactively using Load DynamiX in sales and marketing initiatives to prove the performance capabilities of their products, which, in turn, has helped increase sales to Global 1000 corporations and cloud service providers by over 300% versus 2012.

IT managers and infrastructure architects are adopting the company’s workload modeling and storage performance validation appliances to better control costs and future-proof performance requirements as they evolve to an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model. The company also announced a new partnership with EMC Corporation to help EMC customers accelerate their deployments of new storage products.

To reflect the broader corporate strategy, the company changed its name in November from SwiftTest to Load DynamiX and added two new seasoned executives, vice president of marketing Len Rosenthal and CFO Kevin O’Donnell.

The year also saw major innovations from Load DynamiX on the product front. To continue support of their traditional storage and network manufacturer customers the company launched:

  • Load DynamiX 10G Series with 4x the total I/O bandwidth, 4x the I/O Operations per Second (IOPS), and 4x the user capacity as previous generation solutions in the same 2RU footprint
  • Version 3.4 of the Load DynamiX appliance operating system and test development environment (TDE) which now supports SNIA CDMI and OpenStack Swift, parallel NFS (pNFS), NFSv4.1 Threading, and SCSI Streaming Commands, and
  • Load DynamiX SwiftTest Enterprise workload modeling application with user-friendly, high fidelity modeling and collaborative testing which includes global and local collaboration through shared test libraries, shared visual test beds, and shared results.

To support its new customer base of Global 1000 enterprises and service providers, the company launched the industry’s first and only series of solutions focused on validating the performance of enterprise storage infrastructure:

  • Load DynamiX Workload Insight Manager is a web-based GUI that provides detailed analysis and modeling of production application workloads including a full command mix, file size, and block size distribution to create realistic workload scenarios and
  • The Load DynamiX 10G Advanced and Load DynamiX FC Series, specifically designed for enterprise IT organizations. These integrated appliances are capable of generating massive loads to stress the highest performance enterprise storage systems to their limits and include the Workload Insight Manager software.

“This year has been an eventful and productive year for Load DynamiX. Our success is a result of the increasing rate of technology innovation in the data storage industry, including the migration to Infrastructure as a Service models and the rise of flash and hybrid storage products,” said Philippe Vincent, president and CEO of Load DynamiX. “Our unique solutions give IT architects and engineers the critical insight needed to understand how their application workloads can best take advantage of these new products and architectures and will prove invaluable to deployment success and cost optimization.”
