Pervasive Software today announced the release of Pervasive DataCloud 2. Already in production delivering prepackaged integrations, enhanced analytics and SaaS data profiling, Pervasive DataCloud now offers an API to allow any cloud developer, including Amazon Web Services, force.com and Azure developers, to seamlessly deliver and/or consume robust data services.

More than 150 Pervasive DataSolutions customers are now using integrations hosted on Pervasive DataCloud, making Pervasive a growing force in Cloud-based integration. In addition, Aha! Software and Pervasive recently launched Strato-Studio, giving users access to Aha!’s on-demand Monte Carlo simulation using the highly parallel Pervasive DataRush engine running on Pervasive DataCloud.

Pervasive DataCloud 2 is now available on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), giving Pervasive and third-party developers the convenience of allowing customers on-demand data services access without having to worry about hardware maintenance and software updates. As customers request a service through Pervasive DataCloud, preconfigured Amazon resources are invoked on-demand. Third-party developers and customers can expect rapid implementation time and predictable costs. Leveraging Pervasive’s 25-year history of delivering data management products, solutions and services, customers can rely on deep expertise, proven best practices and reliable support.

Pervasive DataCloud 2 acts as an on-demand process engine workbench to let Pervasive and partners affordably host services that are:

• Scalable – the multi-tenant architecture supports multiple users allowing delivery of diverse data-centric services, including data integration, that can seamlessly scale on an elastic cloud to handle fluctuating data volumes
• Accessible worldwide – partners and customers can access, configure and run Pervasive DataCloud-based services via a browser
• Robust – partners can monitor and report activity by account, application or user, plus automatically deliver updates and pre-set processes
• Secure – customer data and processes are kept discrete, secure and separate
