ACMA Introduces HPC Cluster Certified by Intel Cluster Ready Program

ACMA has introduced the new Helios HPC 4100 Series cluster, certified by the Intel Cluster Ready program. The Intel Cluster Ready program is designed to make it easier for users to acquire and deploy clusters built with Intel components and to integrate high-performance computing (HPC) software applications. Intel Cluster Ready applications and components have been vigorously tested to ensure applications will run on a given cluster configuration. The Intel Cluster Ready Specification is the key to Intel Cluster Ready certification, as it eliminates sources of variability that do not impact performance usability or utility, but can spell disaster when left unspecified. This specification eliminates the risk of installing incompatible solutions and reduces the time to acquire, configure, and deploy Intel-based clusters. The benefits to end-users are increased productivity, faster time-to-results, and an improved operating experience, from initial power-on through continuing production operations, and reduced support effort and costs. The Intel certification also simplifies cluster management and application deployment for end customers. "ACMA is proud to be working closely with Intel to deliver best-in-class, Linux clustered computing solutions that address our customers' most demanding HPC application and I/O requirements," said Kimon Tzaratzouris, ACMA Sales Manager. “Being part of the Intel Cluster Ready program allows ACMA to accelerate the introduction of clusters to more corporate, government, and academic, who will now be able to leverage the superior price/performance ratio of Intel-based energy efficient HPC clusters for their research and simulations."
