CD-adapco Congratulates the Renault F1 Team

CD-adapco congratulated their friends and partners of the Renault F1 Team, on Fernando Alonso's record breaking first FIA Formula One Drivers' World Championship. On an overcast Sao Paulo afternoon, the 24-year-old Spaniard became the youngest world champion in the history of the sport, after guiding his blue and yellow R25 to its 13th podium finish of the season. After dominating the early season with seven impressive victories, Alonso started the Brazilian Grand Prix knowing that he had to finish in third place or higher in order to secure his record breaking first world title. CD-adapco have been suppliers of advanced CAE software to the Renault F1 Team since its inception in 2001. The RS25 engine, and R25 chassis are designed with the aid of CD-adapco's world leading Computational Fluid Dynamics software STAR-CD and STAR-CCM+. CD-adapco is easily the most successful CFD supplier in Formula 1. Of the 660 points awarded this season an incredible 486 have been awarded to teams that use STAR-CD for aerodynamic or engine simulation.
