Companies to Explore the Intersection of Computational Engineering & Proteomics

BOSTON and SYDNEY, Australia -- Delta Search Labs and Proteome Systems today announced a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies to explore commercial opportunities at the intersection of computational engineering and proteomics. Both parties intend to conduct an extensive review to leverage their respective technology platforms and expertise into joint development and commercialisation opportunities in the life sciences. "At Delta Search Labs, we believe that high-performance computing and advanced visualisation will push performance in proteomics to a new level and have been looking for a thought partner to help us realise our vision. The formation of Charles River Proteomics Services, a high-throughput proteomics contract services venture, has clearly established Proteome Systems as the preeminent technology player in this arena and we could not have hoped for a better thought and commercialisation partner," said Kamal Jaffrey, CEO of Delta Search Labs. "The relationship with Delta Search Labs grants us access to one of the world's leading supercomputing and visualisation laboratories and world-renowned experts in pattern recognition, image processing and data mining with high impact potential for proteomic technology. We are excited to have the opportunity to combine our knowledge of proteomics with Delta Search Labs' computational skills for breakthrough results," said Dr. Keith Williams, CEO of Proteome Systems.
