(NYSE:CPQ), has selected the Emulex LightPulse LP9002L Fibre Channel HBA to provide connectivity for the new Compaq StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array, a high-end, enterprise-class storage system designed to set a new benchmark for storage performance and functionality. As part of a joint development effort, Compaq has integrated support for Emulex's driver interface into its management applications and utilities, enabling powerful SAN management capabilities. Emulex's drivers are fully compatible with its entire family of LightPulse host bus adapters, which allows customers to easily and efficiently transition to next-generation SAN performance. Compaq's StorageWorks series of storage arrays also utilizes Emulex's market-leading host bus adapters in Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Unix operating environments.
