By Steve Fisher, Editor -- Over the past few weeks Cray Inc., has made two announcements highlighting the company’s collaborations with foreign researchers and institutes in the area of bioinformatics; the first being an agreement with the South African National Bioinformatics Institute (SANBI) and more recently German researchers at ZIB and Bielefeld University. We at Supercomputing Online thought it might be a good time to check in with the folks at Cray and see if we could learn anything new about the bioinformatics work the company is involved in. To do that, we interviewed Bart Mellenbergh, Cray's bioinformatics practice leader for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
