(NASDAQ: VRSO), a provider of enterprise resource management solutions and a Verso Technologies, Inc. company (NASDAQ: VRSO), today announced that its NetSpective WebFilter(TM) appliance has been chosen to become the Internet access management solution for Alabama Supercomputer Authority (ASA). The Alabama Supercomputer Authority is an Alabama public corporation with a 16-member Board of Directors that is appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House. The Authority's mission is to develop and operate the statewide Alabama Research and Education Network and the Alabama Supercomputer Center. The Authority's network, Alabama Research and Education Network (AREN), provides Internet connectivity to higher education, post secondary, K-12 systems, and public libraries within Alabama. Under the terms of the contract, Telemate.Net will provide all hardware, software, and installation and automated online services for several NetSpective WebFilter appliances at the Authority's operation center located in Huntsville, Alabama.
