(Nasdaq: PCOP) today announced an agreement with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) to deliver Accelrys' industry- leading materials research software on Compaq's Tru64 UNIX operating system running on Compaq's AlphaServer platform. This relationship will provide Accelrys' leading set of predictive tools for researchers in the chemicals process industry on a leading high performance platform, and will provide increased productivity and shorter time to discovery for researchers. The primary market for this technology is product discovery and process development in the chemicals industry. Materials Studio 2.0 servers are now supported on Compaq Tru64 UNIX V4.0F and above, as well as on Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, RedHat LINUX 6.0 and above, and IRIX 6.5.4 and above. Materials Studio 2.0 client applications are supported on Windows NT 4.0, 2000 and XP.
