Accelrys Announces Three-Year Agreement with Compaq

(Nasdaq: PCOP) today announced an agreement with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) to deliver Accelrys' industry- leading materials research software on Compaq's Tru64 UNIX operating system running on Compaq's AlphaServer platform. This relationship will provide Accelrys' leading set of predictive tools for researchers in the chemicals process industry on a leading high performance platform, and will provide increased productivity and shorter time to discovery for researchers.
