Amplicon – Compact new high-performance 4U / 19-inch rack industrial computers (Impact-R 4020S)
Amplicon has announced the release of its new Impact-R 4020S 4U short-depth rack-mount computer. Utilising the high powered Intel iCore processor, the new system is approximately half the depth of the existing 4U but still manages to pack in many outstanding features. With a depth of only 302mm, the Impact-R 4020S system is specifically designed to meet requirements where space is a critical consideration.
Using only road-mapped hardware, the shallow depth system comprises a high-performance 4U compact chassis featuring industrial-grade motherboard powered by the Intel iCore processors with housing for two industrial 2.5-inch HDD or SSD.
In addition, the Impact-R 4020S series supports various operating systems from Microsoft Windows platforms to main stream Linux distributions and can be tailored to suit individual requirements, says the company.
