SCDM Energie Selects Paradigm for Reservoir Modeling

Solutions chosen for their technological capabilities and ease of use.

Paradigm (www.pdgm.com) announced that SCDM Energie has adopted the SKUA subsurface product suite and the Geolog formation evaluation solution as its corporate standards for reservoir modeling and petrophysical analysis. The announcement was made at the 75(th) European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) in London.

The SKUA suite of subsurface modeling applications provides users with the next-generation software they need to create more accurate, unbiased and geologically realistic 3D structural, velocity and reservoir models.

Geolog 7, the latest version of the company's industry-leading formation evaluation system, combines its best-in-class petrophysical and geological analysis solutions, well data management, and robust data integration with a modern, user-friendly interface that is consistent across multiple platforms.

"Among all the available products on the market, we selected Geolog and SKUA solutions to meet our operational requirements," said Bernard Vigneaux, exploration manager at SCDM Energie.  "An advanced software portfolio, transparency, ease of use for both junior and senior analysts, and great flexibility were our priorities.  These capabilities, together with Paradigm's highly responsive local support and maintenance, were the deciding factors in our decision."

"Upstream oil and gas companies continue to see value in the ability of our products to manage data in complex wells and create 3D models of the subsurface with multiuser capabilities," said Emmanuel Gringarten, solution manager for Reservoir Modeling and Engineering at Paradigm. "The greater accuracy of our results delivers more information from our customers' data, and ultimately provides them with greater confidence in their drilling decisions."
