Fujifilm announces new data center backup, archive services at SC08

Fujifilm’s data center services provide organizations with powerful monitoring and analysis capabilities that add new depth to how data center managers control and configure their backup and archive environments. “Our new services expand on our recently announced Data Cartridge Analyser,” said Rich Gadomski, VP of Marketing. “Our customers can enjoy actionable reports that give them real insight into the stability and performance of their backup environment. Fujifilm services are available both as a one-time site survey or an annual service for enhanced daily management. New services include:
  • Tape Environment Analysis – A detailed analysis and recommendation of current backup environments, including an audit report on the health of each individual tape;
  • Archive Verification Service – A policy-based approach to verify system capability to read archived tape media over the course of its effective life; and
  • On-site Tape Verification Service & Analysis – An audit report of media to verify each tape is readable and recoverable.
