Darkstrand Named to AlwaysOn Global 250 and 2009 World Technology Award Finalist
The AlwaysOn Global 250 Award is given to private, emerging technology companies creating new business opportunities in high-growth markets. Darkstrand was selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team as a technology innovator in Enterprise based on demonstration of growth, market opportunity, quality of innovation and customer traction.
The 2009 World Technology Award by The World Technology Network (WTN), in association with TIME magazine, Fortune, NASDAQ, Mayo Clinic, Science, AAAS, and New York Academy of Sciences, have been presented annually since 2000 to the outstanding innovators from each sector within the science and technology arena for innovative work of the greatest likely long-term significance.

For the AlwaysOn Global 250, Darkstrand will be recognized at the AlwaysOn & STVP Summit at Stanford, taking place at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA, on July 28-30. This two-and-a-half day executive conference is co-presented by the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and will highlight the significant economic, political and commercial trends affecting the global technology industries.
At the upcoming Summit at Stanford, Michael Stein will participate in a panel called “The Rainmakers in Cloud Computing” on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 12:45 p.m. inside Ballroom 1. He will additionally deliver a presentation on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 9:40 a.m. inside Ballroom 1 outlining Darkstrand’s winning strategy and how it is bringing new business and technology value to US corporations in the media, manufacturing, bioscience, financial services and advanced communications industries sector.

The AlwaysOn Global 250 winners were selected from among hundreds of other technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists and industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2009 list.
Nominees for the 2009 World Technology Awards were identified based on an intensive, global process over a period of many months in which current individual WTN members (primarily elected WTN Fellows from previous Awards cycles, who now number over 1000, spread out over 60 countries) made their nominations based on companies doing the most innovative work in their field of the greatest likely long-term significance.
