MSC.Software Corp., the leading global provider of Virtual Product Development (VPD) solutions, including simulation software and services, announced the appointment of John Mongelluzzo, an experienced software industry executive, as its new Senior Vice President, Business Administration, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Mongelluzzo's responsibilities at MSC.Software will include the management of business administration and legal activities, facilities management, information technology and other operational activities. Mr. Mongelluzzo has more than 18 years of experience in the software industry. He served as senior vice president of business administration, secretary and general counsel at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) prior to its acquisition by EDS in 2001. During his tenure at SDRC, Mr. Mongelluzzo directly participated in all aspects of SDRC's business and was responsible for legal and contractual support of SDRC's sales, services and product development organizations, and management of all acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and joint ventures. Mr. Mongelluzzo joins MSC.Software from the law firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in Cincinnati, OH, where he served as counsel for companies in the areas of general corporate law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, computer technology and licensing, government regulation and mergers and acquisitions.
