Network for European researchers in the US: ERA-Link survey show results

First results from the survey of European researchers in the US show a strong interest for the development of a network to provide them with a means of strengthening their contacts with other European researchers in the US and in Europe. Responses have come in from all over the US. Over 100,000 European researchers in the US represent a significant potential asset for Europe whether they stay in the US or return. The ERA-Link network will provide them with information on career opportunities in Europe as well as possibilities for research collaboration, student exchange etc. The survey, to determine which services the researchers need and expect from the network, will remain on-line until 22 November, and all European researchers in the US are invited to participate: http://www.evaluationpartnership.com/surveys/eralink.htm The network is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2005.
