Capacity Planning is crucial for managing virtualized infrastructures
Neptuny received a huge interest and attendance at the latest VMworld, which took place in San Francisco last week, where Neptuny was exhibiting. While this is not surprising in the light of the general increasing interest for Capacity Planning, it is worthwhile mentioning that during the general sessions of the Partner Track, VMware top representatives mentioned Capacity Planning among the major hot topic for the evolution of virtualized infrastructures.
Neptuny presented the new version of Caplan, its flagship product designed to "make Capacity Planning easy". Caplan version 3.2 introduces several improvements to support consolidation for infrastructures based on several virtualization technologies, including those provided VMware, Microsoft and Citrix. Moreover, Caplan latest version also provides a new solution supporting accounting and chargeback initiatives. Again, cost transparency and accountability was another hot topic in VMware general sessions and a major area of interest from most of the attendees.
Giuseppe Nardiello, Neptuny Business Development Manager, expects even more interest for Neptuny Caplan after this event. “After having implemented their virtualized infrastructures, customers are looking for solutions that help them to rationalize, optimize and get (cost) visibility over their still complex and heterogeneous environments. Neptuny already provides customers with a mature solution that has been already successfully adopted by major customers around the world to manage both medium and large data centers, including physical and virtualized servers, storage, networks, facilities and more. ”
Neptuny is a VMware Technology Alliance Partner. Caplan supports VMware vSphere technology.
