Criterion HPS Committed to Innovative, High-End, Green IT Solutions
Criterion Systems, a leading provider of information technology services to Government and commercial clients, today announced the launch of a new subsidiary, Criterion High Performance Solutions (Criterion HPS). Criterion HPS is dedicated to providing technology solutions, originally built for the classified community, to the general market. Mike Dillard, COO of Criterion Systems, and former VP, Worldwide Research & Development for Texas Instruments, is the executive sponsor of this new company, and will drive its initial direction. He stated, "We have partnered with some of the largest software providers in North America, and brought them together with component manufacturers worldwide. The result is a set of highly tuned, special purpose, green, super computing solutions." The solutions are pre-defined by an integrated set of software and high performance hardware that are customized to deliver performance and scale for a given set of requirements. The HPS featured offering, debuting later this summer, is a high-speed, small footprint compute appliance that provides true supercomputing capabilities and exceptional cost savings for the appliance market. It runs on a standard 110 volt/20 amp circuit, and is "office quiet", and as such, is one of the most compact, powerful, and green High Performance Computing platforms available. "We are proud to announce this new venture," said Promod Sharma, Criterion President & CEO. "Criterion is a company created by and for entrepreneurs and engineers. Our mission is to transform business through the use of the highest quality technical and business solutions." He added, "Part of our organizations' philosophy is to incubate emerging technologies and bring them to the marketplace. The launch of Criterion HPS is a strong example of the entrepreneurial culture we enjoy at our company." For more information on Criterion HPS please visit its Web site.
