Paradigm Donates E&P Software to Kyungpook National University in South Korea

Geoscience students equipped with seismic interpretation and reservoir engineering technology: Paradigm, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, announces a donation of Paradigm software to the department of geology at Kyungpook National University (KNU) in South Korea. The donation includes software licenses for Paradigm SeisEarth and Paradigm GOCAD reservoir engineering and seismic interpretation applications. The software will be installed on two workstations within the department of geology, allowing students access to leading E&P subsurface technologies. "The software donated by Paradigm is of great value to our program and will expose our students and staff to state-of-the-art geophysical applications for teaching and research," said Professor In-Chang Ryu, department head, geology, at KNU. "To be successful, students must adopt advanced subsurface technology as a required component of the profession. The SeisEarth and GOCAD applications will give students hands-on experience with industry-leading commercial E&P software, which they will use in their future careers." "KNU's department of geology offers a premiere academic program for the geosciences, and Paradigm is proud to support the unconflicted application of geoscience by future experts using advanced subsurface technologies for seismic interpretation and oil and gas reservoir modeling," said Andrew Stein, Paradigm's chief marketing officer. "This contribution is an investment in the future of the profession, and Paradigm is providing actual geophysical tools that will support quality education in the geosciences."
