POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

The Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) is an interdisciplinary research center on the LSU campus, where representatives from all areas of academics work with the high-performance computing resources available on campus to advance breakthroughs. Currently, the center is looking for a postdoctoral researcher for our Cybertools Work Package (WP) – 1; for more details about this WP, please view the following website: cybertools.loni.org. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in a related field that integrates with the area of interest related to the major duties; experience and a proven research record in the areas mentioned along with publications. Responsibilities: researches and develops scheduling and data services & software, including but not limited to: data archival and retrieval services, data-aware schedulers, distributed storage systems, co-schedulers for compute, data, and network resources, resource brokers and monitoring tools, and metadata management services; writes proposals and journal paper manuscripts; collaborates with other complimentary on-going research projects; works closely with an interdisciplinary research team and with several application groups together to achieve the goals of WP1; other duties as assigned by Cybertools WP1 lead.
