Dolphin and Magma Partner to Deliver High Performance PCI Express Appliances
PCI Express Hardware and Software Experts Join Forces to Provide Integrated Cluster and IO Platforms for High Performance Application Acceleration - Magma and Dolphin Interconnect Solutions today announced a strategic partnership which combines their unique experience and expertise in delivering PCI Express-based solutions. Together they will collaborate to develop and deliver optimized PCI Express-based application platforms.
Dolphin has developed software which enables PCI Express to be used as the system-interconnect in combined clustering, multi-server and shared/remote IO configurations. Magma brings many years of experience in providing high quality PCI Express IO scaling solutions to the market.
Through this powerful hardware and software combination, Magma and Dolphin will deliver the ideal platform infrastructure upon which application appliances can be deployed. Applications benchmarks with this technology demonstrate two to four times better application latency and throughput vs. alternatives. Highly efficient application solutions providing optimized processing and storage capabilities can be built on top of this flexible platform infrastructure.
