Cluster File Systems Appoints William Blake and Michael Levine to Board

Cluster File Systems, Inc. (CFS), announced that William C. Blake and Dr. Michael J. Levine will join its Board of Directors. Both Mr. Blake and Dr. Levine are leaders in the high-performance computing industry. Mr. Blake is the current Senior Vice President of Product Development at Netezza Corporation, the global data warehouse appliance market leader. He has worked in the high-performance computing industry for more than 25 years. Prior to Netezza, Mr. Blake was vice president for Compaq Computers’ High Performance Technical Computing business where he was responsible for developing and marketing the company's AlphaServer SC supercomputers. Mr. Blake holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Lowell Technological Institute. He also serves on the boards of Cray Inc., and Etnus, Inc. Dr. Levine is Professor of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University and is a founder and Co-Scientific Director of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (PSC). He is also the Associate Provost for Scientific Computing at Carnegie Mellon University. Over the course of his career, Dr. Levine has authored numerous papers in computational, theoretical, and particle physics. As Scientific Director at PSC, he oversees operations, and plans future developments.
