ClearForest Enhances Management Team
ClearForest, a leading provider of text-driven business intelligence, today announced the appointment of Randy Clark as vice president, marketing, and Marty Siewert, as vice president, sales. Clark will be responsible for all ClearForest marketing functions, including product marketing, corporate communications, industry marketing, and field marketing. Siewert will lead and continue to build ClearForest's enterprise sales force, focusing on developing and implementing ClearForest's sales strategy, identifying new customers, evaluating new market segments and growing existing business relationships. As part of the company expansion, ClearForest is moving its corporate headquarters from New York City to Boston, Massachusetts effective August 1, 2004. The move will enable ClearForest to tap the Boston area's high-tech workforce and expand its partnership opportunities. "Rounding off our management team was a critical milestone as we prepare to step up expansion of the ClearForest solutions," said Barak Pridor, ClearForest's CEO. "Both Randy and Marty have proven track records of building successful enterprise software businesses. Their addition to ClearForest's executive team will have a profound impact on the company's ability to rapidly scale." Mr. Clark has more than 15 years experience in strategy, marketing, product marketing, and vertical industry solutions. He joins the company from Parametric Technology Corp., where he was senior vice president of marketing. Mr. Clark has helped grow several emerging businesses in his roles as vice president of marketing with Enigma, Inc., vertical programs manager at Bay Networks and as a venture capitalist with Advent International. "ClearForest has world-class technology that addresses a core, and very costly, information processing problem," said Clark. "Enterprises capture, manage, store, search and read huge volumes of text while failing to systematically structure this information for use in business intelligence applications. ClearForest is filling this void and I am excited to help ClearForest achieve its potential as a world-class enterprise software provider." Clark earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Siewert is a fourteen year sales veteran. He joins ClearForest from Art Technology Group, Inc. where he served as vice president of sales. Previously, Siewert was the vice president of sales for Centive Inc., a developer of Enterprise Incentive Management software. "I'm excited to join the marquee team at ClearForest," said Siewert. "I look forward to implementing the new systems and processes that will help expand the company's impressive customer roster and take ClearForest to the next level of growth." Siewert holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Xavier University.
