Database Leader Sets New Record for Data Warehousing Performance on Microsoft Windows: Oracle today announced a record breaking TPC-H Three Terabyte (TB) benchmark for a database running on the Windows operating system, demonstrating the superior performance of Oracle Database 10g Release 2 running on Microsoft Windows and an HP Integrity Superdome Server. With this latest achievement, Oracle now holds nine of the top 10 performance world record benchmark results for the TPC-H 3TB scale factor. Running on an HP Integrity Superdome Server with 16 dual-core Intel Itanium processors on the Windows Operating System, Oracle Database 10g Release 2 achieved a record-breaking performance of 37,813.7 QphH@3000GB with a price-performance ratio of $38.00/QphH@3000GB. Setting the fastest results for a Windows-based system with the TPC-H 3TB benchmark, Oracle's result outperformed the previous best performance result by a competitor on Windows in both performance and price.
