Technologies Support Migration of Seismic Data for Woodside Energy Ltd
Perth, Australia based Information technology company ISA Technologies are completing migration of seismic data for Woodside Energy Ltd through access to the ISA High Performance Computing (HPC) facility.
ISA Technologies has been working with Woodside Energy Ltd to support migration work in relation to seismic data which is a part of Woodside’s oil and gas exploration efforts. Woodside Energy Ltd seismic data supports the identification of future oil and gas fields. “ The rapid development of the oil and gas industry in Western Australia requires increasing use of HPC technology infrastructure to support oil and gas exploration and ISA Technologies is committed to supporting this technology capability locally”, said Mr Sil La Puma, Managing Director of ISA Technologies. ISA Technologies HPC facility is already one of the largest facilities in Australia operating on a commercial basis to support ‘Supercomputing On Demand’ to a range of industries. ISA Technologies Supercomputing On Demand provides accessible solutions to industry and service providers with highly intensive data processing and data display requirements. “ ISA Technologies HPC facilities currently feature almost 500 processors and ISA is looking to expand these facilities in 2007 through greater industry access to Supercomputing On Demand services”, Mr La Puma said.
