IT Europa announces European ISV Convention

Leading European ISVs to meet in Brussels in February: Convention backed by industry leading vendors and associations: IT Europa has announced that it is staging the European ISV Convention 2007 in Brussels next month. The event will bring together leading Independent Software Vendors with Hardware, Software and Service organisations to explore and address the issues impacting the development of the IT Industry in Europe and to develop and strengthen partnerships aimed at supporting solution-based sales. The increasing importance of ISVs in driving sales is reflected by the number of major organisations that are backing the European ISV Convention as sponsors. These include Microsoft, IBM, the European Software Association and the Itanium Solutions Alliance (which lists Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hitachi, HP, Intel and Unisys amongst its founding members). “The European ISV Convention is the first pan-European event to focus on the issues affecting the development of the software applications market,” said Alan Norman, Managing Director of IT Europa Ltd. “During the two days of the Convention, ISVs will have the opportunity to listen to top industry speakers on topics that include new technology trends, new business models, succeeding in Europe and raising funds for development. They will also be able to meet with sponsors in boardroom style discussion groups and for one-to-one business meetings, and have time to network with their peers in the software development community.” The European ISV Convention 2007 will take place at the Renaissance Brussels Hotel on 21st and 22nd February 2007. ISVs wishing to attend the convention can find further information and register their interest at its Web site. Attendance is by invitation only and is free of charge to qualifying delegates (including overnight accommodation and gala dinner on 21st February).
