He rose quickly up the ranks to hold a series of executive positions, ultimately heading up sales and marketing for IBM's Application Integration Middleware Business Unit for the Americas, where he was responsible for direct and channel sales of the IBM application development, transaction systems, and web server products. In this role, Wuischpard was instrumental in driving growth in the Business Unit's high-growth segments from $20M to $200M+ over a three-year period. "I'm extremely excited about taking on a role that has such a significant part to play in Penguin Computing's accelerated growth and I'm looking forward to bringing to bear all that I've learned throughout my career to make an impact on a company that is certainly one of the leading players in a very fast growing market," commented Charles Wuischpard, senior vice president of Sales and Services, Penguin Computing. "Penguin's sales team is extremely talented and has laid a solid foundation from which to build. My top priority will be to reinforce that foundation by implementing an efficient sales model, extending our customer base and continuing to recruit the very best people and partners so that Penguin can continue to do an outstanding job with its customers as it grows."
