Grid Computing Now! will run its second webinar, "The business case for next generation IT architecture", on December 5. This seminar will show how you can improve business agility and server utilisation by re architecting your IT provision. The speakers, Steve Wallage of The 451 Group and Shahid Mohammed of Marsh Ltd, will explain how to make a strong business case, plan the new infrastructure, decide which applications to migrate or replace, and deal with the social issues of change. Grid Computing Now! is also organising a workshop on "Virtual Organisations and Grids: Applications, Patterns and Infrastructures", to be held at the National e-Science Centre, Edinburgh, on Nov 21-22. This event will bring together experts from industry and e-science researchers to examine how industries form virtual organisations to work together - for example on joint projects or in supply chains - and ask whether Grid middleware can support industry's requirements.
