Informatica and Oracle Renew OEM Partnership
Informatica Corporation, a leading provider of data integration software, today announced an extended OEM partnership with Oracle. The market leading business analytics solution, Siebel Analytics Server, part of the Oracle Business Intelligence family, embeds Informatica PowerCenter to access and transform heterogeneous data from a wide range of sources, including legacy and ERP systems, and integrate into a common data warehouse, which helps to drive more effective decision-making. The new agreement adds PowerCenter functionality into Oracle's Siebel CRM On Demand and extends the companies' existing OEM agreement for four years. Oracle will use PowerCenter to deliver a robust, highly available solution to meet the demands of its growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) business. Oracle, a leader within the SaaS market, will use Informatica's PowerCenter product line to populate the hosted analytics warehouse within Oracle On Demand. .
"Oracle Business Intelligence Applications are pre-built analytic applications that deliver out-of-the-box business value. They rely on PowerCenter and PowerCenter Connect to integrate data from a variety of heterogeneous data sources," said Paul Rodwick, vice president of Product Management, Oracle. "Oracle looks forward to continuing to develop, sell, and support Informatica-based solutions that are strategic to our customers' success." "Over the past six years, Oracle and Informatica have worked closely together to deliver leading analytics solutions globally," said Girish Pancha, executive vice president of products, Informatica. "The extension of this agreement ensures that both existing and new customers will continue to benefit from this partnership as the companies work together to deliver world- class solutions for the enterprise."
