TyanPSC to market Personal Supercomputers

Tyan Computer Corporation had developed a new cluster-base HPC product line that provides supercomputing performance in constrained and other non-traditional environments. Tyan is building on its excellent reputation as an HPC motherboard provider by launching a new business unit called TyanPSC to market and sell the TyanPSC Typhoon series of Personal Supercomputers. The new Typhoon 600 series, to be launched at SC 2006 in Tampa, FL on November 14th, delivers greater than 200 GFLOPs peak performance, allowing individuals and departments the capability to execute computationally intensive tasks in non-traditional environments like field sites, offices and labs. Until now, achieving this kind of performance has required expensive dedicated server rooms that need intensive infrastructure. The Typhoon is a turnkey supercomputer that is easy to deploy, easy to use, and doesn't require IT staff to manage. The Typhoon series work like a regular PC - it runs Microsoft Windows CCS2003 and Linux operating systems, plugs into a standard wall power outlet and is whisper quiet, under 45 dB. Below is more information about the helpful technology we have developed. I would be pleased to arrange a telephone interview with Eric Chang, GM of TyanPSC to discuss how we helps our customers by delivering unique performance for their computational needs. TyanPSC has created a powerful and efficient computing resource for scientists, engineers and professionals who need supercomputing performance within their own control. Typhoon supercomputing workstations are self-contained clusters-in-a-box that take advantage of TyanPSC's system design and integration excellence. Our unique system integration of industry standard technologies provides users with unprecedented ease of use, performance and control over their supercomputing projects. TyanPSC has brought supercomputing into reach for individual users by creating a turnkey system that merges system integration with easy-to-use management tools like Microsoft Compute Cluster Edition 2003 (CCS2003) and Linux cluster distributions. The Typhoon delivers peak performance of greater than 200 GFLOPs while being whisper quiet and using a standard 15amp wall power outlet, so you can use all that performance in an office, a laboratory, on a boat and even aloft in an airplane. Each Typhoon Supercomputing workstation is an individual supercomputer that works right out of the box, boots quickly and plugs into a standard wall power outlet. Typhoon supercomputers enhance workflow efficiency by providing a computational resource that allows developers to experiment with new code, build iterative models and avoid wasting time on batch level processing. You get more efficient use of your own time and more efficient use of your institutional IT resources. All this lets you be more effective and more focused on the work you need to get done. TyanPSC's Typhoon Supercomputer Workstations give you control of your tools and your time for more focused research, directed discovery and comprehensive results. The Typhoon Personal Supercomputing Workstation increases efficiency and reduces your time to insight!
