Earth Decision Suite Extends Compute Platform Interoperability: Paradigm, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production industry, announced today at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) International Exposition and 76th Annual Meeting that its Earth Decision Suite is now available for Microsoft Windows 64-bit architecture. Earth Decision Suite now takes advantage of extended memory capacity of the Microsoft Windows x64 Edition operating system, offering Paradigm customers the ability to: * Exploit the power of Windows 64-bit, addressing up to 16 terabytes of virtual memory space * Dramatically increase physical memory support, up to 128 GB "Many upstream E&P companies are choosing a hybrid Windows and Linux, 32-bit and 64-bit computing environment and require interoperability between these environments. Paradigm is focused on providing a technology environment that allows earth scientists and engineers to focus on building more precise reservoir models and identifying Quality Prospects -- as opposed to worrying about the IT environment that supports their technology choice. Earth Decision Suite for Windows 64-bit gives interpreters the ability to interpret larger seismic surveys and build larger and more precise reservoir models. Users will be able to run the integrated applications in Earth Decision Suite with very large volumes of data, compared to the traditional two-Gigabyte limit of Windows 32-bit compute platforms. Recent Earth Decision Suite benchmarks include a dataset of one billion data points. * Interoperability. Supports both Windows 32-bit and Windows 64-bit computing in the same work environment * Increased Productivity. The Earth Decision Suite Windows 64-bit allows interaction with Microsoft Office tools, such as automatic reporting and clipboard exchange for earth models. The Earth Decision Suite is an integrated software suite providing powerful shared-earth modeling that enables collaboration by the upstream E&P asset management team for model-centric Rock and Fluid Interpretation. From advanced seismic visualization and velocity modeling to well path design and platform position optimization, the Earth Decision Suite offers workflow- driven solutions for both the novice and the expert user. The Earth Decision Suite is available for UNIX, Linux 64-bit, Windows 32-bit, and Windows x64 Edition offering Paradigm customers' operating system flexibility. The Earth Decision Suite for the Microsoft Windows 64-bit architecture, based on 64-bit extensions to the x86 instruction set, supports both AMD64 and Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T).
